Victoria records highest road toll in three years

Data released by Victoria Police and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) shows that Victoria recorded the highest number of road deaths in three years during February 2016. During the month, a total of 33 people were killed on Victorian roads, broken down into 13 motorcyclists, 12 drivers, five pedestrians, one passenger and two cyclists. Teenagers and motorcyclists were found to be over-represented within these figures, with the further recording of motorcyclist deaths being at their highest in close to 30 years. Although the elevated figures can be attributed to a number of external factors and monthly fluctuation, statistics such as these are a reminder to remain vigilant on the roads. If you have suffered a serious injury as a result of a traffic accident, Michael Lombard can assist you to lodge a TAC claim for compensation. Michael is an accredited specialist in Personal Injury Law and was recently recognised for the third consecutive year in the Best Lawyers guide. In this years edition, Michael was the only lawyer who acts on behalf of the injured that received this award. To speak directly to Michael, call 03 9321 9916.
