If you or a family member has suffered an injury, illness or disablement, our lawyers can help you access financial assistance from your income protection insurance.

Many workers often elect to self-insure for income protection through an insurer or financial institution.

To claim on your policy, your condition does not need to have been work-related or caused by anyone's fault.

Our Income Protection lawyers can help with a claim for

  • Temporary or permanent disability
  • Physical injury or psychological illness
  • Aggravation of injury or illness
  • Sickness and accident
  • Superannuation insurance

What are my options?

Income protection insurance entitles policy holders to regular income payments whilst they are unable to work.  These payments are made over set periods, for a determined duration and a portion of your pre-injury or illness income.

You may also be able to claim a "top up" payments if you can return to work part-time or in a lesser role.

They are often reduced if you are already receiving payments through WorkCover, Comcare, TAC and/or Centrelink.
