Pain and suffering damages settlement for injured nurse

Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers has helped a nurse obtain compensation for the pain and suffering she experienced following an injury to her shoulder at work.

The worker was treating a patient when a light fell from the roof and struck her shoulder. She has undergone surgery but unfortunately, has not regained a full range of movement in her arm and continues to experience pain on a regular basis.

After obtaining a judgment from His Honour Judge Bowman in May 2015 that the worker had indeed suffered a serious injury, Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers have continued to have negotiations with the Victorian WorkCover Authority to try and resolve the worker's claim for compensation without having to pursue further litigation.

An agreement was reached with the Defendant's representatives this week to resolve the matter for $120,000 plus any benefits she has already received from the WorkCover insurer. The settlement of the worker's matter still entitles her to claim medical expenses for treatment of her work related injuries.
