Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers was contacted by a social worker from South Australia who asked if he could help two Congolese children. The two children had been involved in a car accident in Victoria and had tragically lost both parents. They now live with their Aunty who already had children of her own.

It is never easy for a new guardian to make ends meet whilst also dealing with grief in the family. Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers' TAC team helped the family access a weekly allowance from the TAC, which was back paid to the date of the accident. This was of immediate help to the family.

The TAC team organised for the TAC to pay an education allowance while the children are at school. This money will be paid to the children's guardian. A lump-sum payment of $172,770 in compensation was also paid to the children's guardian to be looked after while the children are under 18.

The TAC will cover counselling expenses for the family while it is needed. Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers hopes this will help the children with their recovery and allow them to make the most of life without their parents.
