Family of Indian nurse receive compensation for dependency

Adviceline Injury Lawyers have recently assisted the family of an Indian nurse who was killed on her birthday in a tragic car accident. The young nurse was hit by a car as she was standing on a street corner, waiting to cross the road. Her grief stricken family, who reside in Kerala in the South of India, were financially dependent on the remittances that she sent to them on a regular basis. Michael Lombard of Adviceline Injury Lawyers provided the family with a wide range of assistance. He helped the family to make a superannuation claim and also with a Coronial Inquest into the circumstances of the accident and the medical condition which the driver suffered from. The Coroner's findings then paved the way for the family to make a TAC claim for dependency. As her elderly parents had retired, they were entirely reliant on her earnings. Her family were successful in receiving compensation, which they will now use for medical and living expenses in their retirement. If you have lost a loved one in a car accident, or have been experiencing financial pressures as a result of being injured in a car accident, please contact Adviceline Injury Lawyers on (03) 9321 9988.
